Des is an associate director in the practice. He has considerable experience in all aspects of architectural design, project and team management on projects across a range of sectors that include Shopping Centres, apartments, Office, Education and Mixed Use. Des worked for five years with practices in Wexford and Dublin, including Murray O’Laoire Associates where he worked on AIG Centre Dublin from inception to completion. Des has worked with the practice since 2000. Notable works include renovation and extension to the offices of Google Dublin, Communications Workers’ Union, Mixed Use Development at Trinity Street Wexford, Adamstown Post Primary School and MacDonagh Junction Kilkenny a rejuvenation project with new-build and conservation based refurbishment works comprising shopping centre, apartments, restaurants, offices and leisure units.
Des specialises in technical aspects of building design and is currently involved in the tender and construction of two large scale apartment towers at Embassy Gardens in London. Des also previously specialised in 3d visualizations some of which were published such as Irish Pavilion for Expo 2000 published in The Architectural Review Magazine.
