Pat Kirwan

Pat Kirwan is a Director and Head of Industrialised Design + Construction (IDC) at Reddy Architecture + Urbanism, where he leads the practice’s strategy for the transformation of design and construction through industrialisation, digitalisation and product-led delivery.

With extensive experience across architecture, design and construction, Pat’s work focuses on moving the industry beyond traditional project-based delivery towards more integrated, repeatable and manufacturing-led approaches. His expertise spans Industrialised Construction, Modern Methods of Construction (MMC), Design for Manufacture and Assembly (DfMA), real estate productisation, digital platforms, standardisation and the integration of design with offsite manufacturing.

At Reddy A+U, Pat is leading the development of the practice’s IDC capability, including the creation of digital product platforms, governed kits-of-parts, configurable building typologies and automated design and compliance workflows. This work is focused on enabling greater standardisation and reuse while retaining the flexibility required to respond to individual sites, clients and projects.

Alongside his role at Reddy A+U, Pat is President of IC-Europe – the European Association for Industrialised Construction – and Co-Founder and Director of MMC Ireland. Through these roles, he works with industry, government and European institutions on the development of industrialised construction, with particular emphasis on standardisation, regulatory harmonisation, digitalisation and the creation of a stronger European ecosystem for offsite and manufacturing-led construction.

Pat has previously served on RIAI Council, co-authored the RIAI Design for Manufacture and Assembly guidance and presented on MMC and housing delivery to the Oireachtas Joint Committee on Housing.

He holds an MSc from the University of Salford, where his research into Modern Methods of Construction and housing delivery in Ireland received the Mott MacDonald Award for Excellence.
