The Story
Originally designed in 2011 as a dining space, the café no longer met the needs of a growing, diverse hybrid workforce. The brief was to transform this floor into an environment which supports dining and informal meetings, focused work, and large staff gatherings throughout the day.
The Challenge
Refurbishment and reuse became a key design driver. Existing joinery, furniture, lighting and finishes were selectively retained and reinterpreted, preserving embodied carbon while creating an entirely new environment.
The Outcome
The fit-out transforms the space into a flexible, human-centred hub, prioritising accessibility, sustainability, employee wellbeing.
