The Challenge
The project, which is led by Reddy A+U, will see the demolition of an existing three-storey extension of the Block E building and an existing prefabricated building to its immediate north-east, as well as the removal of 20 parking spaces.

The Story
The site for the new development is located on the university's south campus and is adjacent to the Quadrangle Building, near the main entrance of the campus via University Road. The ground floor will consist of tutorial rooms, a seminar space and a collaboration zone, with further seminar rooms and study areas proposed for the first floor. The upper floors will feature further seminar rooms, research labs, bench space areas as well as meeting rooms and offices.

The Outcome
The University's Dean of the College of Medicine Professor Martin O'Donnell, described the proposal as a unique opportunity to realise a "transformative vision" for medical education in the region, and that the design would significantly advance the delivery of high-quality healthcare.
